From 1868 until 1904, Wadsworth was a railroad town on the mainline of the Transcontinental Railroad. In 1904, Southern Pacific relocated to Sparks.

On 10 September 2011, about one year after our photograph was taken, the Wadsworth School was completely destroyed by fire (www.ktvn.com).
