Pioneer Mutual Volunteer Firehouse Site

Erected in 1854, this structure was occupied by Engine Co. No. 1, the oldest fire company of California.

Approximately two hundred feet northeast of the intersection of 3rd and J Streets, we found only some garbage behind a Denny's Restaurant. If you know what happened to this site, please contact us.
