Atkinson-Escher House
1032 Broadway Between Jones and Taylor
Russian Hill
Built 1853

The Atkinson-Escher House, on Broadway near the summit of Russian Hill, is the oldest surviving Italianate Victorian in San Francisco. William Ranlett probably designed the original structure, and Willis Polk redesigned the first floor interior in 1893.

The photograph is a side view taken from Broadway near the base of the Florence Street stairs.

The house is a private residence.
