The seven-story Hart Building is the tallest building in Yuba County. It was designed by
Hart Brothers of Sacramento and built in 1926.
When the Hart Building joined the National Register in 1985, the nomination noted that
it "occupies a spot approximately in the center of the commercial section of
Marysville's Redevelopment District." The unfortunate legacy of
Marysville's Redevelopment District
can be seen all around the Hart Building today.
