Fordyce and Julia Roper House - Southern Oregon Hospital
35 South Second Street
Ashland
Built 1886

The Stick Eastlake Roper house originally stood on East Main Street.

It was renovated for use as a sanitarium in 1907, one of the earliest medical facilities in Ashland. In 1910, after being seriously damaged by fire, it was moved to its present location where it was repaired and reopened as the Ashland Sanitarium.

It served as a sanitarium until 1923 when it became a boarding house.

In 1985, it was renovated for use as a Bed and Breakfast.
